AGROW-HUB marks its Public Start at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina

On 20 December 2025, AGROW-HUB marked its public start through the Public Kick-off Event hosted at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, welcoming a broader audience from academia, industry, public authorities, and the innovation ecosystem. The event opened a timely dialogue on regional needs and opportunities around agri-food residue valorisation, green technologies, and circular bioeconomy value chains in the Southern Mediterranean, reinforcing the project’s commitment to stakeholder engagement and long-term impact.

AGROW-HUB addresses pressing environmental and socio-economic challenges linked to the underutilisation of agri-food residues. By strengthening collaboration among partners in Egypt, Tunisia, Greece, Italy, and Spain, the project will enhance education, innovation, and entrepreneurship capacities that enable the conversion of agricultural residues into high-value products and bioactive compounds, with potential applications in food, feed, cosmetics, nutraceuticals, and other green industries. Through this work, AGROW-HUB contributes to skills development, employability, and sustainable job creation, supporting a more resilient and resource-efficient regional economy.
